Day 20- Highs and lows of this past year
I’ll talk about 2010.
High: January-August was one of the best periods of my life and pretty much everything was a high (e.g.: getting into college, PACN, my fake birthday, miscellaneous friend events) and nothing bad really happened except when I was trying to catch a frisbee and ended up in urgent care, but that hurt so good.
Low: Leaving California sucked.
High: Dying my hair pink/red/orange was fun. Thanksgiving in Manhattan was fun. I enjoyed getting stuff in the mail. Seeing parents and relatives was nice.
Low: September-2011 was not so good for me. I enjoyed my homework and classes and all, but I had trouble understanding the culture. I think I never really got used to school and life got severely lonely pretty often. Knowing I could talk on the phone with Autumn at the usual time helped get me through each week. I would also like to thank East Side Pockets. Winter break was the worst because I couldn’t go back home. I was really glad to skype with my Asian boys, Autumn, and Srita in Boston, but afterwards I was severely depressed because I missed them and I wished I could have been there. Later on, because of the 6th(?) biggest blizzard in New York history, I spent several days sitting in a hotel room, looking at rotc kids reunion photos and wishing I could be there.
Overall, 2010 was a pretty good year full of new and valuable experiences. I don’t feel that I’ve gotten any wiser, but I have gotten more confused.
